Consultancy
I am an independent consultant specialising in Oracle databases. I am based in England and generally work for clients in the UK and Europe.
I perform DBA tasks including RAC installations, performance tuning, Data Guard configurations, upgrades and migrations. I provide specialist knowledge of Oracle internals to solve extreme performance issues such as redo generation, latch contention and library cache fragmentation. I also assist in the design and development of a couple of Oracle tools for international customers.
I work directly for a number of customers specialising in short term consulting assignments from one day to around two weeks.
I am generally available at short notice, though I do have UKOUG RAC & HA SIG and other speaking commitments throughout the year. For current availabiliy see http://www.juliandyke.com/Calendar/Calendar.html
For business development purposes, I also provide a limited number of free on-site consultancy days each year.
