Access a fixed (X$) table using index column 1

Example

This example must be run by the SYS user due to restrictions on the use of EXPLAIN for X$ tables.

This example was developed using Oracle 8.1.7

The statement

    SELECT * FROM x$ksuse WHERE indx = 0;

generates the following execution plan

0     SELECT STATEMENT Optimizer=CHOOSE
1   0   FIXED TABLE (FIXED INDEX #1) OF 'X$KSUSE'
